Week Four Part 2
SketchUp Draft 2
Elevation
David Malangi Studio + Exhibition
Banksy Studio
The second phase of my model. Having to go through tafe in Architectural Technology, I try to make my studio realistic in terms of construction and dimensions. Took me far longer than I anticipated and still have some unresolved bits with construction. However I am very happy with the turn out of the model. I'll try to resolve the problem with the construction.

Preparing 3d modeling through guide lines in order to make sense of how my building could be built in a 3D perspective and getting to understand the program abit more.

Curved metal mesh stairs centilivered on a large diameter steel pole
Stairs to Banksy (Sweeping)
A helical concrete stairs with two tone colours
I've interpet sweeping as a surface with a continuous movement. So I've delevoped a helical/ spiral staircase that gives access to the lowers levels to Banksy's workshop. The stairs hasn't been fully modelled to what I desired but this is just a snapshot of what I have so far. In due time I'll will update once modelled and resolved.

CREATIVE WORK
GREAT PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE
Alzheimer's Centre, Las Vegas
The design, function and name of the centre is very interesting. This building was created by Frank Genhry in 2007, opened in 2009. It pushes the limit of shape and space the building creates. I love the way how Frank Genry used stainless steel along with smooth curvature like paper that is slightly pressed at the ends and interestly representing "Alzheimer's Diease"
SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL
Sea Voyage
After looking through hundreds of photos, this photo is of many favourites. This photo was taken in April 2006 when we were invited on a sea voyage weekend getaway from a family friend. This was taken at mid morning as we sailed out to sea. The photo captured a spectular scenery of sea, land and sky from the yacht. This is something beautiful because it has a nice balance of object, sky, land, sea and colour.
